Welcome to Mommy & Me Plaster & Ceramics!

Plaster Craft is a non-fired way to paint items for memorable or ornamental purposes. It is not purposed to be used with food and water and is mainly designed to be used as indoor placements. For a completed look,  paints and spray is used.

Our family takes great pride in our quality! We use the highest grade plaster available so our pieces have a very high surface strength and the brightest white appearance. They also require less paint because of little absorption.

Greenware is the term given to clay objects when they have been shaped but have not yet been bisque fired, which converts them from clay to ceramic. Greenware is unfired pottery. It is very fragile.

Bisque firing refers to the first time greenware, go through high-temperature heating. It is done to vitrify, which means, "to turn it glasslike," to a point that the pottery can still have a glaze adhere to the surface. At the proper temperature, the piece has been transformed to the point that it is less fragile while remaining porous enough to accept the application of glazes
